Gill the Queen of Fishes art

At the top of a hill, in a house on the cliff
Overlooking the vast sapphire sea
Lived a lady called Gill
Regarded still, as barmy as could be...

This image is a personal piece I created based on the idea of a "mad fish woman". I thought the stereotypical image of a crazy old woman with lots of cats could be easily subverted with an interesting visual result.

Sadly whenever I tried to explain that to people they gave me rather searching looks, the kind you give a small child who's written his own name in poo on the bathroom wall. Therefore I endeavoured to give the image more meaning and penned a wee rhyme to go with it, now I can say its an illustration to a poem I've written!
