An epic airship battle unfolds high above the world. Under heavy fire the crew of the HMS Monsoon unleash a broadside on all Port side guns while patchers hurry to repair the damaged balloon. In the background the once mighty HMS Tempest begins it's final descent as her crew scramble for the lifeballoons.
I had these airships vaguely thought out in my head and really wanted to come up with a solid representation of them. It was quite difficult frankly and this is the result of many hours work. I was hoping to have another airship on the far right firing a broadside but it proved too cluttered and hard to make out, regretfully.
Fortunately now it's finished and the airships have been thought out I can revisit the subject more confidently and efficiently in later works, since I plan to so some more ambitious ones sooner or later...
